Can it be added that if someone does a post/name search,
that the person who searched for your posts using your name or profile post search
be listed in the personal profile along with dates and times?
this does not seem to be a breach of privacy, if anything it would reinforce it,
letting you know if anyone has taken interest in you or your interests and subjects.
Of course with the option to delete the dated names so to keep the list from possibly getting to long.
I see no reason why we can not have this.

perhaps make it so that person who done the search ends up PMing you with his or her name with a notATION that it was done out of a search.

It *is* a breach of privacy. I don't want people knowing if I search for them or not. Thats nobody's business. and I'd rather not know who is searching for me.

perhaps only if the same person searches the name more then a couple times..

Anything that you have publicly published on WP may be searched on by things outside the site. E.g. Google will give you matches to things within WP. Your suggestion is unworkable for that reason alone.

I cannot see any point in what you suggest. The additional load on Alex's server would be considerable, for no purpose that I can see.
