Make"In Depth Adult"Members Only for AS Parents et

Older AS in long term relationships, and AS, of all ages, who are parents, are a small but significant minority on wp.

It would be wonderful to feel that a forum was meant for us, as the Parent's Forum is for parents of AS children, and people with special interests in computing, art, film, writing, etc, have separate forums.

It needs to be a members access only forum though, because of highly personal information and expression about our close families which could be hurtful or cause for abuse or criticism if visible to all.

I was wondering whether the In Depth Adult Forum could be transmuted into such a place, by making it members only, and adding the words " parenting and/or partnered" to its title.

PS: If this were done, could the AS-Parents Support Thread ( currently in Members Only) be moved to the forum aswell please?

That would eliminate a lot of the regulars and the usual sort of content that's now on the In Depth Forum, where parenting and relationships are generally irrelevant, but the tone is much different from the rest of the site. I would no longer have any reason to go there if it was dedicated to parenting and relationships.

You wanna throw us lonely old folks out in the street?

Any reason not to create a new forum if there's a need not being met and some people here would enjoy it and benefit?

I also don't think it's appropriate for the adult-in-depth forum as it would end up dominating the forum and I get enough of people complaining about partners and parenting in real life - I don't mean that harshly either, I enjoyed reading your thread - I think it's a very good and necessary thing for those of you in that situation. Wouldn't it be more appropriate in a new 'Relationships' forum? You could put the "Love and Dating" and "Friendship" type sections in there too. I'm suppose they'd put the other parenting section in there too. I never read that section so I don't know what goes on there.

Are you aware of the long existing, popular forum at Delphi for these matters?
