When I go to My Account>Edit Profile, the site takes me to the profile of a French girl called Sophie8D.
WTF?

i was getting that too the other day. i think i was "static..." something. i just tried now, but it was me this time.

another weird random site glitch.

i think it's somewhat important that this be fixed.. because this just happened to me, it took me to raleigh's profile and i could see all their personal data like their email, and i could have changed their password and locked them out of their account.

I posted something the other day and when I viewed it, it was posted under someone else's username.
I could have had fun with that too.

I find this all a bit concerning...

I tried to change the email contact address, which I gave when joining WP, to one which wouldn't reveal my real name, but the system wouldn't let me do this. Surely there should be a swift and straightforward way to sort this out?

OMG that is scary. Now I know any member can lock someone out of their account if they encounter that glitch.

You wouldn't have been able to change anything. This is likely a result of caching.

I think Alex has changed it so the page above overwrites the ucp (in order to fix location and age not showing) which seems to have a side effect of the parts of the ucp in which data overlaps with the profile to be locked on the ucp even if they still show. That's what I've found, anyway, but I could be wrong. Uneducated guess of mine.

^ Well the first time I clicked the link you gave in the above post, iliketrees, it took me straight to the Your Profile page of another member, containing personal information and his private email address (which seemed to contain his real name), which just underlines the alarming nature of the points made by some posters in this thread. On subsequent clicks, it took me to my own Your Profile page.....


My issue is as follows:

I was able to edit my email address on the Edit Account page, replacing it with a more 'anonymous' one for security reasons. When I try to edit the email address on the Your Profile page in the same way, I get an ERROR message: 'The email address is not correct', or '.....is already registered'.

I don't know what to make of any of this.

I'm getting the same thing. I was testing changing my interests as they would not change before and just put "ABA". Now they finally got updated on my profile, but I want to add more interests rather than just ABA, but when I went to change it, I saw my profile as AdamAutistic (who posted above).

Update: I have checked again and it is me this time.

Last time I saw Raleigh's personal information, today I saw Misery's.
One day someone might see mine...
Something needs to be done about this.

i increasingly feel like one of the select few that has no big problems with the site. my profile takes me to my profile, yet still it displays my old eleanor avatar and i can't seem to find the option to change (or remove) the gender display.

OMG! I just went into my account and it came up with Xavier1908's profile!
I could see his real name, date of birth, email, everything.
This glitch needs to be fixed!
