I have no idea who the mods are these days, nor any idea how to find out. Would someone please delete this duplicate thread of mine? http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt87718.html

Also, WP isn't slow enough. It only took me 5 minutes to report the above error in WP's polls programming.
Seriously, it's like wading through a river of molasses.

There are two stickies on the index page for WrongPlanet.net discussion ; one is "How to Get the Attention of a Moderator When You Need it", and the other is "List of Active Moderators", ( or something like that ).

As you live in the USA you should probably try Sinsboldly or MrMark if you want a reaction while you are awake.

I have been getting very treacly page response too, and picking up WP messages/notifications with yahoo often causes my internet connection to collapse.

Starting a new thread here to ask for one of the two threads you started there to be removed (and then asking for the one with replies to be deleted) seems rather counter-productive.

I and the other mods have the MOD ATTN thread on our watch lists. If you make the request there, we get to notice it almost immediately. Starting a new thread here... we will only notice if we happen to peer into this forum. That might be more once a day, in my case, if I think to do so.
