I suggest that all our current moderators be scrapped and that wrong planet be closed until suitable replacements are found who will do their job and moderator the forums. Further more I suggest that all topics be closed, and that the the websites code be updated to a newer version with one that includes a report abuse button.

Oh and for all of you who are wondering why I am proposing such significant and radical changes here is why. I am tired of being verbally abused here, I am tired of being a punching bad this place is supposed to be a sanctuary instead it is a lawless website where rules and regulations are rarely enforced I found out about that the hard way.

It may be a wiser course of action to determine the one common factor in all of your troubles and immediately begin taking corrective measures on your own, instead of advocating an overthrow of the WP moderatorial staff and a complete shut-down of WP itself.

Which would be you of course your nothing but a troll, it took you what two minutes to comment here and the only reason you did so was to anger me and cause me distress well it won't work I am beyond you now you cannot control my emotions or cause me pain any longer.

I guess from my own experience I find this issue difficult to relate to.

I've been much less distressed by the missing two centimeters than I have been over the usual long term lack of a suitable place to put the part that remains.

Normally, I'd be the first one in line to call for moderator oversight and reform, but this is not the cause for it. I mean, not to be too much of a dick, but do you honestly expect the largest Autism discussion board on the Net to shut itself down because you don't like someone's opinion and the mods won't punish him for disagreeing with you? You are the one breaking the rules in this case, nothing that Fnord has said falls under the definition of trolling or harassment. I disagree with his reasons for voting how he did (something to do with not being consulted on the matter if I recall), but I do understand why he would take it upon himself to remind people that a freely passed law is legal and binding whether they like it or not. The job of the moderators is to enforce the rules so that the site runs most smoothly, not to be PC police making sure that everyone is as unoffensive as possible. If Fnord breaks the rules, let them know, but expect that if you also break the rules, you're going down too.

*shakes head* This is a personal issue, that would be best addressed between you and Fnord. While it isn't something that makes you warm and fuzzy, he didn't attack you. And while there might be more kind ways of saying that, this is not indicative of some great collapse of this site. I've spoken out in the past about my dislike for the subjective manner of moderation - so rather than complaining about it, I say something in the thread or the person involved. If the problem persists, then others might need to be involved. Sorry if you don't like what I have to say, but I think this is a petty response to a personal affront, and doesn't belong here. The Haven is provided for us to vent (-not- attack or spew venom) without reproach; I'd suggest that might not be a bad place to start.

philosopherBoi, how about posting a link to the topic where you say Fnord attacked you? Context is important in such a judgement.

As I posted above, I'm willing to be friends. However, this does not mean that I will ignore a topic that I disagree with, nor will I remain silent. Please, people, just get used to the fact that we're all individuals, each with differing opinions and perspectives. We do not have to agree, but it would certainly help to not cause trouble over a mere difference of opinion, or the failure for one person to get their way.

Compassion all around is appropriate here. For example, Fnord is currently experiencing extreme emotional trauma anytime anything reminds him of emos.

I'm not sure what triggered this, but I suspect he might have had a precognition about his next incarnation.

Is this an accurate summary of what's going on here?

now now lets not go to such extremes of a total shut down PhilosopherBoi. Heres what I think we should do. Alex should come to power again, freeze all moderator powers, nominate 20 new candidates, including all of the old, and have us all vote in new moderators or vote old ones back in and we hold such a vote every 2-4 years.
