Blue / Green Colour scheme

Is there anyway of changing the blue / green colour scheme?

I find the alternate blue/green for each post in a thread extremely confusing.

Is there an alternate stylesheet?

I don't think there is a way of changing it. Which is a shame, because I don't like the blue post backgrounds very much... I often try to time my posts to land on a green spot.

I find it strange that a website which caters for people with disabilities has little allowance for people with disabilities.

I would have thought that the site would have complied with the various guidelines for people with disabilities.

Agreed.

I absolutely hate the color blue and get angry when I see it. It would be splendid if I had the opportunity to change it.

The site's for people with autism and AS. This particular person with AS likes the blue and green colour scheme.

have got a point,but WPs colour scheme is tame compared to another forum am use [a major uk forum for people with all types of disability]-here's a part of a screen shot of it:

that forum has so many users who have some sort of disability which is affected by the colour scheme,eg,visual impairment,dyslexia,visual perception problems [part of autism and as,and not] and so on.

one users layout is another users difficulty,and with visual perception being a big part of autism and as-it makes sense to have a few themes installed but maybe there is reason for not having installed any.

if find have got problems on a lot of sites with colours,what about trying a screen reader.

Firefox has addons that let you load custom CSS for sites like this, which might do nicely for this issue.

That other site is awful IMO.

It is such a shame there aren't any other themes installed.
I was looking at the table layout and thought a screen reader would have problems with it.

It does seem a shame there are no other themes even a monochrome one.

Section 508 is a big possible reason why the color scheme is like this.

For those who do not know what Section 508, it deals with accessibility for individuals with disabilities (this now includes information technology and websites).

Target was sued for their website not being accessible for individuals with sight impairments.

Basically its a federal law that is mandated in the U.S.

a long, long, time ago there used to be themes that you could choose from. I wonder if something like that could be set up again?

This was the whole reason I started this thread.


Well I know that the font min. size in 12 by the Section 508 Amendments. Also blue and green are easier on the eyes than red, yellow, and orange.

You can change colour of all internet in the control panel and also in the internet options. Mines pink.
