So many site/sever operators get this worng. They see the high CPU usage and DISK I/O usage and get faster servers... but this isn't the issue in many cases.
If this site is being run on anything less than 1.5GB of RAM... upgrade the RAM! And focus on the usage of RAM for database buffers, cache, etc.
RAM is 1000x or more faster than DISK.
