They really need an "Add to Friends" Function

I think having a "Friends List" like on MySpace, Facebook, etc would help keep track of people you like talking to and what their up too or at least a function to subscribe to their blogs.

Also they should have groups for different interests like Animal Lovers, CSI fans, etc and also give users the ability to create groups.

I agree, those are some pretty good ideas that WP should consider...

Another function would be the ability to upload an album of pictures that users can comment on, so you can upload like artwork and stuff.

these are all good ideas, may you should talk to Alex about developing them.
