I told about my self in the thread "talk about your self a bit"

Today I reread my post and one very important word was changed from "re-tar-ded" to "excellent". I can say what ever I like about my self !
And I have now found out that this is changed automatically by the forum system.

How can I tell the truth, if I am not allowed to call things by its real name???

I find this very annoying, as I am not allowed to change it back to the original word.

This makes me very angry! I hope that all of you can understand this.

on some websites the moderators will occasionally chanj teh speling fo wrods. maybe that is what happened to your post?

fyi: the word "ret*d" is considered as an insult by most people. maybe here too. some people see it as nearly as bad as the infamous "n-word" that is used by ignorant and racist people to refer to our fine brothers and sisters of african descent.

I think it is a script looking out for "dirty" words and changing them. But I ask you: wouldn´t you call a child with an IQ of less than 60, for a ret*d child (just trying again).

This system is sub-intelligent, but it is doing almost, what it is supposed to If I could get at who ever made this manure, I would surely release his soul from his body. (just testing how useless this system is, if you want to be unpleasant for real! )

And I am from Denmark Imagine what an English speaking person could get away with

this is ridiculous. ret*d is NOT an insult! I understand changing words like f**k and s**t but how come those get starred and ret*d is changed beyond recognition, with no sign of outside intervention?!

Come on now, there are much worse words that are either not censored or are left perfectly recognizable.

Eg: Damn hell b***h fa***t n****r

Also addition: Other offensive words are picked up by the swear filter but they are not blocked. Just a character or two is asterisked out. Eg: f**k s**t c**t Motherf***er This obviously does nothing to actually censor the words and just comes across as pettiness most of the time. And if "s**t" is censored, why are racial slurs permitted? I find the n-word, b-word, and f-word (in reference to sexual orientation) to be far more offensive than the "r-word" despite the fact that I am heterosexual, white, male, and had marked developmental delays. The other three words seem far worse to me.

At least three of those words are undoubtedly more offensive than "ret*d," but they are left and ret*d is obscured.

What the hell? Tard is now spelled "good guy?" This is going a bit too far.

This is the anti-excellent campaign. We can't say that word, our campaign is going very well. Slightly run out ideas what to do though. Don't say the word!
