I know this has probably been done a gazillion times already, but I didn't see a recent one and I felt like asking :P
My favourite part about school is that I get rewarded for working hard. They cannot grade you based on who you are, only on what you give them.
It's also an escape for me, when I think about school, I don't worry about other things. My worry is focused, and it makes it a bit better. It doesn't help my depression much though, luckily that has gone down in the last couple months.

I like the fact that my school has a uniform. It's an opportunity for me to wear clothes that look the same every day and not be teased for it.

My fav thing about school was being around adults that didn't drink and smoke (at least around kids), weren't constaintly talking about their probation and child support, and didn't do things like hit you or talk about things kids shouldn't know about.

Thats good that hard work pays off for you. Cuase at my school: I work my ass off and it does not show in the grades. So unfair.

Interesting...you might be one of the few students supportive of the uniform. Most times, kids hate wearing a uniform. My school went to a strict dress code in the 8th grade and I and a lot of students hated it. Yeah, one of the reasons why schools have dresscodes is so students wont judge others as much by their looks.

I liked it because I had a reason to go see my friends every day, and I was told what to do instead of having to go FIND something to do. >_<;;; I want to go baaaack~

I don't know if I would like uniforms or not. On the one hand, I love picking out my outfits every day, on the other it would be nice to not to see all the sleazy outfits that people just seem to love.
It's a great thing that you like uniforms though, a lot of people don't like them.

I like getting a choice in what I study. One of the reasons I hated high school was that I had to study all this crap I didn't care about or even like. College is like that too, to some extent, but it's better. People are there because they want to be.

Also, I like being around other people who are smart and good at analytical thinking. I already like my graduate program better than undergrad!

The best thing about school was the teachers. of course, some were bad, but some were absolutely great. Not every teacher would 'adjust' the truth if you meet him in the train to school and forgot your ticket so that you don't have to pay a fine. Mr. L. did ("Yes, she's going with me").

Also: Programming classes. They opened me a completely new world. :D
