My Report Cards
Well my advice is to try your best at school but bear in mind that the teachers are not always right.
I was bullied by one teacher, I have risen to a level within my profession which I think that this teacher would not be able to rise to.
One of my teachers said that I would be unable to cope with being in the average ability class, and that I would end up in the bottom class. I have proven him wrong, I have a PhD and I have now become a valued expert in my field. In my small field people from all over much of Europe sometimes want to ask me for my thoughts on some issues.
Do you call that a failure ?

I am not a jigsaw, I am a free man ! Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

In grade 11, my English teacher told me Id never make it to college or be successful in life. She did not like me or a few other students (who were NTs), and marked us harder because we did not suck up to her.It was almost like she was trying to fail us.In grade 11 at the same time, I was taking grade 12 social studies (history, political science, and economics), which I was getting 80s and 90s in.I find it odd that I can get a 98 percent on an essay in grade 12 level social when I was in grade 11, but yet get 40 in my grade 11 english essay. That made it clear that she was in fact being a bully.
I proved that wicked witch wrong.I just successfully completed my first year of college and have only one year left. ![]()

ALBERTAN...and DAMN PROUD OF IT!!
I've had some similar experience. In high school, a lot of my teachers were almost hoping to see my failure, strangly
Although I did have quite a difficult time in team projects, I did manage to make the top percentiles of my college graduating class. After a year of seeking help from professional psychologists, I'm good to go for more learning.
It was a struggle, but I managed to find potential supervisors (who agreed to supervise me) at different universities for grad school. One's project is in electrochemical synthesis of H2O2. The other's in theoretical simulation of fuel cell components. Now I'll just have to choose.
Are you a chemist, Woodpecker? What do you do research on?
