My initial reaction was that the internet can absolutely be distracting, but then as I was reading everyone's posts I realized that I'm at least as likely to get distracted by my bookcase full of books. I suppose you're not much more likely to get distracted by the internet than by anything else. As other people said, it's just a matter of self-control.

Nope, I don't think it's affected my grades very much. I got it in 8th grade, but I had a 4.0 GPA all through 10th grade. I think my slipping grades are much more connected to laziness, apathy, and a hatred of school.
