Hmm. Either Aspies are a high-achieving bunch academically, or nobody wants to admit to getting less than A's and B's. I barely got a B average in high school, and less than that during my first attempt at college.

I actually didn't think about people actually caring about school and I just care about mah swag.

That is partially why I failed 4 out of 6 classes last year, and passed two with a D-.

I also failed one class last semester and passed the rest with D's.

Currently I have Bs-Ds.

I am trying to make friends.

A's and B's mostly, there was no option for mostly a's and bs and a few c's so I picked the a's adn b's option. My worse grades are in math my best grades are in my business courses and before college they where in history and linguistics.

Currently I have a 3.14 gpa

When I was in High School it was always straight A's but when I started college I was lucky to get a C- It was tough but when I switched to another program I started to get A's and B's again which is good. Thats the thing about college you can work your ass off and still get a C

Currently straight A's in college, but I imagine as I move into my upper division classes and care even less about GE, there will be quite a few B's along the way.

Or an alternative - that A's and B's together constitute more than 80% of grades distributed at US schools.

It depends on what you study and where you go to school- students taking English or Psychology usually get A's while students taking advanced math courses get C's and D's.

Having recently looked at US GPA's for a friend who was thinking of applying to US graduate schools, I just can't get my head around it. Here, A grades are awarded to only 3-4% of college students per subject across all disciplines, with around 82-85% of students scoring between C and F.

That may be because most US colleges do not let you graduate with below a C, and will expel you if you average below a C for a certain amount of time.

I have broken the straight As pattern. I put down Ds on average, but that's because I don't try. School got boring, and now I don't really bother with things. A lot of my classwork is graded at D or below in lessons I don't like, but I get As mostly in exams. In lessons I like (English, Maths, RS) I get high marks consistently.

If I have a big project to do, I will also get a high mark for that, no matter what the subject is.

It just means I can amuse myself and don't waste time doing pointless homework. I know a lot of people disapprove of my kind of attitude, but I'm succeeding, so what's the problem?

About a B+ average or 3.28 GPA in an American university. It seems low, but I am in computer science where the professors tend to assign impossible projects, assignments, and tests.

I honestly don't try to be a perfectionist anymore. It is bad for your health.

I'm sort of a weird case.

Elementary,Middle and High School I was a C student.

The equivalent in my home country of the SAT is insanely harder than the US SAT ...I didnt care about it and didn't study...and ended up 7th highest score in the country. To this day I got no clue how the heck that happened.

Enter college my first year my grades were B's and once I decided on my major it's been straight A's. I'm sitting on a 4.0 GPA right now.

I graduated high school with a 3.0 unweighted GPA, a B average. I took 3 AP classes though out high school, so my weighted was higher, but I have no idea what it was.

I'd like to say straight A's, but I do occasionally get B's. I had straight A's until junior year, when I got two B's. I also got two B's in the fourth quarter of senior year (this year).
But, since I took a lot of AP classes (12, to be exact 8O), my weighted GPA is 4.16-ish. My unweighted GPA is about 3.92 or so.

I'm going to be that guy. I'm in college and get Ds and Fs on average. But I'm the type of person who if you don't engage me I get bored with the material quickly. Half the time I'm in 2hr to 3hr classes of lecture [there is no discussion] I am in complete shutdown mode, always fighting my internal filter.
