I like slow dancing too, and I LOVE to dress formally.

I see. Since the list was compiled by you, I assumed it consisted of the things you wanted. I beg your pardon for making a wrong assumption. :oops:

But you're right. No Dress Code makes more sense than Casual

May I suggest:
* Music at a reasonable level. If you can't hear what people says outside the dance floor at 1 meter distance.. it's too loud.

* Selection of music should be reasonable. No one will like all of it. But most of it will be acceptable to most people.

* Dress code is some of the fun (though expensive).

* Ask for touching and no your aren't allowed to tell anyone else about requests. If yes then you can make out if both wishes ;)

* Dance partner hookup via some smartphone app in manner that won't allow gossipers to get any clue.

* Completely voluntarily.

* Some really nerdy person at the door as bully-bait. Complaints = "eject" .. :P

It's an opportunity to make connections and ask that special other for dance etc. I would however agree that if you were treated like s**t in school, then the dance will be the same. And in that case there's other more valuable ways to spend time.

Back when I was in high school, I never attended any of the dances because it really wasn't my type of thing.

For the loud music there are ear plugs, that can help.

I agree with you on two points:

1. Dances not my thing

2. Whose Line Is It Anyway is the BEST SHOW EVER
