Alot people did just stare straight forward (I did) . The speech teacher told us not to do that. Your suppose to vary where you look at and view the entire crowd. Just one more thing to make me self-conscious of. One thing that really made me mad was he told us not to use "ya'll". Which unless your a pompous a$$ everyone born in Texas would use in replace of "you all" in normal speech.
