We have a different way to use marks, but I get lots of 1* and 1- marks except in communication (a course, which could as well be named: 'humanity is stupid!') where I'll get a 2 probably and physical education (a course, which I hate! Only this semester, I have to suffer through it, only this semester!) where I'll get a 3 or something in that area.

*1 is the highest, 5 and 6 are fail grades, all marks except 1 and 6 can have a + or a - if something was better or worse than the mark. The order is: 1, 1-, 2+, 2, 2-, 3+, 3, 3-, 4+, 4, 4-, 5+, 5, 5-, 6.

It is kinda hard to say because I am doing NCEA Level 1 this year and the marks are achieved (a), achieved with merit (m) and achieved with excellence (e). I generally get merits and excellences.

In university I average mid 90's.
How do you fail art? Just wondering, as all you have to do is do your best, and you pass...at least that's what it's like at my school.

About a C+ to an A. It depends on my mood, the class, and the particular subject within the class.

AP Calculus BC:93 I was a bit too sloppy in this class, because I don't find it challenging so I didn't worry about my grade, homework, etc. and then I had my calculator set incorrectly during the final (20% of the grade) and just barely pulled off an A.

What the heck is an AP? Are they like A-levels or something? Taken in your 5th or 6th year of high school?

AP classes are college level classes made available in most American high schools. For each AP class, there is an exam at the end of the year. If you score high enough on it, you can exempt the class when you enter college.

When in public school I manily got Ds and Fs. Now that I am homeschooled and since the only distraction is barking dogs I get A's. When in public school I never understood the significance of grades. I needed a tangaible reward, not just a letter. I could care less if I got an F.
