I tend to fiddle with a pen and kinda make a game out of it while doing thoery, one no gets bothered, keeps me focused, so it all works. :)

Once in awhile I may draw pictures related to the current task at hand to help me make notes and to understand the subject better.

Doze, or finish other work.

I use a laptop computer for taking notes (look at my handwriting and you'll see why!), so in a really boring class I'll play solitaire or minesweeper in between typing notes.

I used to draw in the margins of my paper and make little flip-book-style cartoons.

I normally doodle on my whiteboard (tropical islands, normally), or daydream, and if we watch a boring science DVD and I'm at the back of class, I read or write while nobody else is watching me.

Well, it's been several years since I was in college, but I remember those boring classes. The worst one for me was Trigonometry and Analytical Geometry (which wasn't that boring except that it was a five hour night class). We met from 5:00 in the evening and got out at 10:00 at night with only one fifteen minute break. It was torture for me. Here are some of the things I did. I brought along reading material that related to an interest. I worked on writing. I drew pictures or designs in the margins of my math notes. I sat next to the window so I had a clear view of a traffic light. I would note by making hash marks on paper how many times the light changed. I also timed the duration of the green/yellow/red light progressions and noted how it changed according to rush hour traffic and late evening traffic. Pretty sad wasn't it? But it got me through. Basically, I just found something passive that got me through.

Picture the professor dressed as a Renaissance-era court jester with a funny hat and tights.

Well in my econ class the prof. normally taught from the book and gave "sample tests".
Not very hard. In fact, I skipped half of his classes blaming my alarm b/c it was an 8am class.

The other half of showing up was just a polite gesture really.

HS it is tough because they are on your ass no matter what you do. In college, if a class sucks you can do whatever you want. Sleep in class, leave, go on your laptop and play poker... pretty much anything that doesn't disrupt the lecture is acceptable. Skipping class is fun too. Especially when all you need is a passing grade, and don't give a sh1t about your average (this is me).

I usually think about the girl I like and try analyze things that she might have done that means she likes me, lol.

Or I talk to people.

I have never been able to go to sleep in school. I don't know why, but I just haven't.

I doodle mostly. I find I listen better when doing that, while not allowing myself to become bored with the subject.
If I have other work, I'll do it, but it's hard because I usually need a computer (except math, which was the place I usually need to doodle :D)
Sometimes I write poems too :D It makes the teacher think I'm writing notes :P

I usually end up doing the work.

But my problem is less 'the class is boring' and more like 'I'm done, now what?!".

I'm glad I'm allowed to use WP in school... D:
And it sucks that there's nobody even here tomorrow.
