Actually in many cases better, especially with regard to programs that will actually get you a high paying job. Traditional colleges are a declining backwater unless you go to someplace like UCLA or the Ivy League.

...You consider me unemployable, remember :x ? What the F's that matter to you :? ?
Someone else (addressing more people now) said " Community college is often morre expensive..." than uni, or similar...Not " a noble non-profit that will get you a degree and make you a working-class here, just give up you dreams of strolling over the quad with a co-ed :...I.e., they're NOT that  .

I sure am glad I don't have some unrealistic dreamy fantasy about college life and that basically being my only reason for wanting to attend.

I was talking to KK right there, about Ez going to a cc instead of "uni". I do think you unemployable. You prove it with pretty much every post. If that's how you would handle customers or coworkers? Forget it.

If you would go back to using the quote function properly it would be easier to know who you are talking to, and what post you are talking about. Before you type move your cursor to the very END of the message you are quoting, not the beginning. Type after where you see “[/quote]”.

A community college, technically, would be equivalent to "uni" because it is, many times, postsecondary education of an academic nature.

In reality, though, the first two years of "college" in the US is somewhat equivalent to the "Sixth Form College" in the UK.

I remember the University of Las Vegas looked more like a really big CC to me. The University of Washington is a lot fancier Harvard looking. I have heard that people will finish out college at a fancier place just to have the name of the place on their diploma. "Oh you have a diploma from Columbia, very impressive".

I'm not sure what he's expecting from me in his favor after telling me to "shut the f**k up" but he's sure not going to get it.

I would have to agree with Ezzy......ASS-P's bedside manner wasn't really that great at that moment.

You want to know something?

Most employers don't really care where you got the degree from; all they care about is that you got the degree.

And they care even less about your Grade Point Average.

Just a personal status thing like driving an expensive car.

Especially since you can't use the full power of that expensive car on the highway because of speed limits.

I've seen many more BMW's stuck on the highway than Hondas.
