For graduate studies, I am going to apply to Cal State Northridge, and the University of New Mexico.

5 - that's the maximum number you're allowed to apply to when you go through the application system in the UK.

I went to Indian River State College in Florida which was a community college when I applied and it isn't competitive if you have a high school degree or GED and live in the area you get in. I had to move to Missouri 5 classes away from getting my AA degree.

I applied to two Universities to get back to work on finishing my Bachelor's degree:

University of Missouri - Kansas City (Attending starting Fall 2010 for a B.S. in Environmental Science)
University of Kansas (denied as my GPA took a hit from some bad grades around when my Dad died)

Okay, so everyone's listing. Here are my thirteen, in rough order of preference:

Beloit College
Agnes Scott College (accepted)
Maryville College TN (accepted with $11,500 merit scholarship)
The College of Wooster
Lawrence University
Grinnell College
Kalamazoo College
Earlham College
Guilford College
Ursinus College
Hendrix College (rejected)
Smith College
Clark University

My preferences changed drastically after I called these places to ask about disability services. Smith used to be my number one, but their dean told me that administrators don't understand aspies and can't seem to stop them from flunking out. That's what she said to me, I'm serious!

Hendrix is where I'll be going this fall!! I think they're very good and I understand that they have very good disability support services if you decide to apply again.
I applied to:

Mississippi University for Women-accepted
University of Southern Mississippi-accepted to the regular college, rejected from honors college
Judson College-accepted
Hendrix College-accepted with a big ol' scholarship
I was offered scholarships to Belhaven University and William Carey University, but never actually applied. And I applied to my junior college, but most people just call that 13th grade :?

Four different universities (this time around  ), maybe seven or eight different courses.

I got accepted at two, not the two I expected at all. I'm absolutely stoked with the one I got accepted into and so far it's FANTASTIC.
(It's one of the best schools in my country)

I applied to four universities. I applied in the days when six was the maximum number of university applications in the UK for most students, and large numbers of the student body do apply to the maximum number to give themselves the most options. There was a very simple reason for me only applying to four - I wanted to do a pretty specialised degree, didn't want to be completely out of range of home and only four universities were close enough to home that I could go back at weekends. The fact that the two best universities for the course in the country were among those four made it easier.

One (Liverpool John Moores) wrote back almost immediately saying they'd discontinued the course. Another (Manchester Metropolitan University) sent me an unconditional offer and rejecting it was quite difficult (I'd barely started my second year of A-Levels and was a touch nervous about getting the grades to do better). The other two (University of Sheffield and Loughborough) sent me offers equal to the standard "tariff", the first choice being slightly tougher than the other.

I ended up scraping into my first choice (Sheffield) - which, for a bonus, was so close to home that I could commute from home via the train each day :)

I only applied to four and got accepted to all of them (how? I don't know). I could really only afford the application fee for three of them, but I got a fee waiver from the college I'm currently attending because apparently they REALLY REALLY wanted me. And then asked me to drop out after the first semester.

Silly.

I applied to college (including graduate school) three different times when I applied to 2 colleges, 2 colleges and 3 colleges, respectively.
