Doing oral presentations (is it weird for an aspie to like speaking in front of crowds?).
Having lots of friends, getting up to mischief, the band i was in, the routine, pretty much everything, i was really lucky and had a good high school.

my "friends" never invite me to any partys. I was made fun of so much as a young child I find it hard to trust anybody. as for my best HS memory (still a freshman) today in biology we were looking for cheek cells under a microscope. this girl asked our teacher what the funny cells from her mouth were. our teacher, shocked, told her that those were sperm cells.

That!

AWESOME!! !

I guess one of my best memories is ball room class when I helped the hottest girl in my year catch up. She had sprained her ankle playing volleyball. She was nice to me from that day on.

Another one, was organizing a huge fund raiser. It was a formal Valentine's Day dance with a live big band. A little less than a year before it, I started leading a small planning group for it and ended up orchestrating it to the end. It went very well and we took in about $7700. Also, that night on the dance floor I asked the girl I like to go to the prom with me and she said yes. The dance has become an annual fund raiser though I wasn't involved with it after that first year. Good thing for annal-retentive detail freak aspies like me.

However, apart from a few other nice memories like this, high school was not all that pleasant of an experience.

Well I was usually too scared to say yes or get into a relationship anyways, so it really didn't make much difference. I understand people a bit better since then, but I'm still basically a hopeless social ret*d

My best memory of high school was the constant dating. I never dated the girls from my school but from our rival school. Any pillowtalk, would not be spread around my school if I dated outside the school. It was kind of cool too. I went to two high school senior proms one year that was about a week apart.

Probably my senior year. It was the best because I made it that way. I got good grades. I had a friend, and if I didn't I probably never would have gone to grad nite. So, it was a good year. Other than that, the rest was meh.

I loved high school....it was a heck of a lot more fun than college. I never felt lonely in high school because you had friends all around you. I got to play my oboe with other people every day. That is the biggest thing I miss about high school, now you cannot play a musical instrument everyday with other people unless you are really, really good, and go to school for music.

Count me in with the crowd that votes "last day". I remember vividly getting to my car, turning around to face the school, and waving my middle finger high and leaving. If I die and go to hell, surely it will be high school.

The day I found out my grades were good enough for early admissions, the two years spent at the community college where much better then the two spent in high school.

I dropped out in junior high...there ARE no good memories going to that school.

College is fun. Highschool is not.

K-12 sucked and I hated every minute of it. I grew up in a crap hole small town which made things even worse. I got an invitation to a reunion once and wrote "Bite Me" on it and mailed it back. What a total waste of time.
