If someone tells me what to do it's ok. I don't like it but I'll do the stupid tasks so I don't fall out with everyone. I'll usually try to wiggle out of having to do anything with a group. YAY for slacking.

I'm good at LEADING groups...does that count? :P I'm good at telling people what to do.

Seriously though, working in groups was never my strong point, but I can do it with some effort. I seem to disagree with everyone elses ideas and thats why I prefer to work on important tasks alone.

Yep, what you said basically applies to me as well to some extent...but I can work in groups, just unco-operatively, Lol.

I totally know how you feel... I am trying to get my university to allow me a disability accommodation that allows me to do group projects individually because of my Asperger's... have you tried this?

I am sick of people saying I'm being rude or sarcastic when I don't mean to be either, and getting mad just because I'm honest. I also have the same problem about the bad grades... I hate that my grade is in the hands of people who don't care about it, and usually group project grades are the lowest score I get in a class.

Rarely. Unless I happen to be lucky enough to be working with people who actually include me in the group.

If the group is competent, I like it. Most of the time, this is not the case. I'm getting better at it though. If they don't want to put in the effort, it only makes me look better to the professor anyway. :D

To be honest... if there is a group task I always want to do everything on my own because I think my ideas are the best and I don't accept any compromises. If the group doesn't allow me to do so, I do nothing instead.

I wouldn't call myself "good", but I'm not always terrible at it. I usually either want to do everything on my own and dominate the group, or think 'screw this' and go off on my own and work on the assignment.

Only with close friends. I hate doing group work with people I don't know, and I tend to do all the work (but I like that). Doing everything to my specifications gives me solace.

Depends. If you have to do a task in groups I hate it and hardly do or say anything. But if it's group discussion it can actually be quite fun.

I absolutely hate working in groups. Other people's views on how to do things are just too different from mine.

I work on my own at every opportunity. Luckily at the moment I'm not forced to work in a group. :D

When I work in a group, the outcome is almost always negative. Either:

a) the other people in my group don't do anything at all, forcing me to do all of the work

b) the other people in my group contribute, but their contributions are useless and make our group look stupid

c) somebody else in my group is so ambitious that he or she won't even allow anyone else to contribute

d) everyone does and is able to make good contributions, but our opinions differ so greatly that we are only able to agree on a few things, causing our project to be overly watered down.

One time, I had a teacher who noticed that I didn't like group work. She somehow got it in her head that if she made me work in a group enough times, I'd learn to like it. Every time I saw her, I'd think in my head, "Lady, you're an idiot".
