I've had some mixed experiences with groups.
I remember only one that I thoroughly enjoyed. That was when I did math practice tests in groups and I would work on 1/4 of the problems alone and then correct what the other 3/4 did wrong
But then there was one that I remember barely being able to stand when one person picked my weakest possible area as the group project, talked really fast, and didn't really seem to care about anything but a (just) passing grade.
Group experiences in school tend to lean towards frustrating/unnecessary for me, I think. They do little more than slow me down. But as I mentioned, it is mixed, so this is not always the case.
edit: realized I read the question slightly off... I'm not too good at working in groups. Those other people are riding some strange wavelength.
