I really want to be a singer or a vet or both. :thumleft: First, I really want to be a vet because I've had a lot of experiences because I have 2 dogs and we take them to the vet a lot. I also want to be a singer because you may become a millionare and also because I have a great singing voice, not to be offensive. I need to go to college and study to have one of those jobs. :study:

Go for being a vet. Being a singer won't make you a millionaire. Trying to be a singer by profession is likely to make you impoverished and bitter. Being a veterinarian provides you with a stable, fulfilling career, while singing can be quite an enjoyable hobby.

A agree, a vet is a much safer choice. You can always sing as a hobby.

Personally, if I could be absolutely anything, I'd be a professional soccer player. But, I'll most likely be an engineer, or an industrial designer or something.

I concur, go to school to become a vet, but keep on singing as a hobby if it's your passion. You can also take choir classes while in school (I have a friend that's majoring in Biology and doing this).

Music is something that should normally be done in your free time and see where it goes while going after a "real" career. I know a few people that play in bands and make some money on the weekends and enjoy it as a side job.

I also know a guy who became so popular in the area he lives that he quit his day job and just performs now. He loves it but that was never his primary goal.

i love music too and singing probably saved my life, but not many people make a career out of it. being a vet is a safe bet, but don't let a good singing voice go to waste!! keep singing, but don't let it take center stage.

No, you don't! I never took one music course in college and I am a paid professional singer. You would probably excel at it. Many MANY asperger-type people are in the entertainment industry.
