I want to go to school. I want to get a degree. I dont want to go in finacial Debt to do it. and I dont want to need to get a job to pay for the expense . I do want to work with education/special eduction. I want to focus on a carreer path that can help both me (AS) and my son (who suffered a stroke and other problems when he was born and could need very special help for a long time. I would rather that help be from me, and I would like to get a degree in those feilds so I will have better qualifications totake care of him) I am working on a 5 year plan. hoping to specialize in special eductaion, early intervention training, and physical thearapy. I am hoping by the time my son is old enough to start school. I will have gotten at least a very good start on an education/psychology degree and will be more equipped to help him with his individual dificulties. But I dont want to go into debt for an education I am not planning on using outside of the home.
Is there any way, to avoid the Debt of getting a degree? Is there a better way of becoming qualified to work with special needs children? I could use some advice. Maybe someone in the feild? or someone currently in collage now? I have my own limitations that are going to make this difficult. I could use all the advice I can get.
