How do you deal with chatty people at school?

For me, I usually try my best to focus on the lesson being taught (especially in those classes that requires talking). The same thing applies to assemblies, too.

It's really hard. I just try and preoccupy my mind with finger or toe movement, or I try and play a song in a my so to speak to "drown" out the people talking.

If all else fails, I just ask them to stop because I can't focus. They look at me weird, but I don't care at that point.

Ignore them. If the chatty people try to be chatty with me then I go stiff with nerves and hope this conversation will end or atleast become easier.

It's my curse that I am a very chatty person. Only with those I'm good friends with though.

It tends to mean that we have lots of fun....And none of the work gets done, just about doubling the amount of time I spend on homework.

I ignore them. My lessons consist of them being annoying and my teacher yelling at them. I can get "into a trance" if I have enough work to do and block ALL noise out. But not often. Therefore I take painkillers to dull my headaches.
