I got into an op school for 4 weeks because of something real stupid but minor at my magnet school that I don't want to talk about. All the kids are intolerant of the major differences that Asperger syndrome brings into your character. Most act like they're hard and sometimes some of them will try to start something. You will NOT make friends as easily as a regular school unless you share common interests and can defend yourself. (I went in the first 2 weeks talking about some stuff that I was phased into at the time that only a few cared about)
I've been having the most problems here, mainly socially and I'm starting to stress out...
The kids, even some that are my friends are like sometimes shut up, stop talking, cant you just be quiet? and stuff like that.
Many of them think I'm weird or something is wrong with me.
Some girls blatantly avoid me.
People talk crap about me to everyone.
People notice I'm clumsy and awkward all round, physically, mentally and socially.
And a lot of the kids think I'm stupid or something, even though I'm likely more intelligent, at least more knowledgeable than at least 3/4ths of the people, only 3 have come from magnet schools out of 300 or 400 people.
I have found some of my better friends (as in how they treat me is better overall) that can help me out with my social skills, but I know it will not be enough.
With a combination of AS, ADHD and depression (just occasionally) I should have medicaid and should be undergoing therapy and counseling, perhaps prescribed medication if that would ease off some of the ADHD, depression and social anxiety (although you cannot rely on chemicals to change you, only to aid you if used properly).
Luckily though...
I still manage to TRY to socialize, but lately I've noticed a sudden downward spike in my motivation at school and my interests.
I'll still try to keep pushing forth, but my hope is starting to disappear like a puddle in a hot desert past noon.
Well at least there is only next week left, then I'll be free on summer vacation, and I won't have to wake up at 5 AM to walk 2 miles to the bus stop and back and have to run everywhere at school and have to listen to peoples crap.
And about the girls...
Feeling a bit doubtful
I will try to let time take its course, to allow myself to make changes, improve and gain experience, but I'm sick of the current pattern of constant failures.
