Questions on an odd class...
Well I've went back to school and start at Eastern Michigan Univeristy on Wednesday. I'm a bit worried about my 400 level math courses as its been 20 years since I originally went to college but thats not a big issue. Just need to refresh the ol' noggin.
My big worry is that I'm taking an "interpersonal communication" course. Its required for my degree. Anyone have any idea on what this is going to be and if so, how hard was it? It was this or "non-verbal communication" which I figured was going to be even worse.

I took an interpersonal communication class awhile ago... I liked it and found it to be rather helpful and very much fascinating. It was an easy A for most of the people in my class as my professor broke down very common things that everyone else took for granted; such as eye contact, posture, personal space, and things you can assume about people based on things like demographics and general appearance. There was a lot of participation required for my class, both in and out of school. I found my interpersonal communication class to be full of nonverbal things as they make up the bulk of communication.
I opted to take classes like these not when I was going for a specific degree, but when I realized how poorly I got on with others. Heh. I have had jobs where I needed to speak well with people and engage with them and come across as friendly... or at least be able to not scare them off within five minutes of meeting me. I found the 'things you do not do' section to be the most amusing and insightful part of the class and ended up doing my final on messing with people's unspoken boundaries. That was my only easy A in that class, as I tend to do that naturally, and I came to appreciate things I do and do not do. I had a lot of fun doing that paper.
Hopefully you get a professor who was like mine and really makes the class fun for you. I was freaked out about the class myself, but ended up loving it more than anything else.
