As in what career are you going for I assume it's based around your special interest. If so are you more into advanced stuff or fine with learning the basics? Looking back on my Psychology interest I wanted to read my teachers Dissertation (she said it was 98 pages I was going to pay her $20 to read it since one site I found would charge that much to read many papers but I wanted specifically Psychology) Also I didn't find learning what I was learning in class that much fun (it was) but I'm more curious about how research is done (cost how it gets started etc.) Of course I know you have to have a PhD (I don't even have the money to get an AA degree!) :-( Also I listened to a Psychology podcast and he mention something about memory which I found ALOT more fascinating than ANY stuff I learned in class. :-(

Biochemistry and genetics. I enjoy reading about genetics, cell biology in particular. My favourite subjects in school though are chemistry and English lit. I only like the more molecular/DNA parts in bio.

I'm into philosophy, the cog-sci/neuroscience side of psychology, some biology, and a pinch of physics (in academics). I'm in junior college, but next semester I'm going to a liberal arts college. They have such off the wall classes that it's easy to find classes that look interesting in every subject. As for jobs I'm interested in:
Veterinarian
Animal behaviorist
Journalist (probably science journalism)
Zoologist
Forensic scientist
Neuroscientist/cognitive scientist

That's all I can think of right now.

When I was at college I was interested in history of economic thought and Karl Marx. I read many interpretations of Marx´s "Capital" and could make sense of it by my self without attending to classes. We had a study group and I used to teach the teacher how to read certain sections of Marx "Grundrisse" (or Outline of the Critique of Political Economy, which is Marx´s sketch of Capital). I know that many people don´t like Karl Marx but I was obsessed with it. I´m happy that the obsession is gone because it is a subject too polemic for me and I wouldn´t earn any money studying that. By the end of college my interests had changed and for my dissertation I made an econometric model that analysed the impact of international trade on income distribution. But I always thought that econometrics was a tough subject to study.

Medical applications of polymers. I'm just starting up my thesis work on using a thermoset copolymer composite to replace damaged spinal discs.

wow. that's different from the AS/science stereotype.

My dad is probably Aspie, but he can't do math/physics or quantitative chemistry. His memory is super and he grasps history, geography and economics/finance quickly. I think if he took biology he would be better than me.

Originally I wanted to be an economic researcher until I found out college was crap. No idea what I'll do now.

I have always been into history (mostly military history), but I also feel that I might do good in Criminal Justice/Criminology. Im looking into maybe majoring in both if I can, Though I might just focus on CJ if I can only handel one. Though both of them being liberal arts might make it easier. Either way ill get my basics out of the way in community college. As for transfer choice to finish, its a toss up betweem University of Texas @ Arlington, or Sam Houstion State (still need to visit this one).

As for career, well in majoring in CJ I do have the option for internships in the Criminal Justice field (local, state and Federal). And I have a desire to become a special agent in the FBI. I might consider other law enforcement agencies if I can learn a little bit more about them. One problem though is that I have type 1 diabetes, though legally they can't automaticly disqualify me just for haveing it, they evaluate cases individually.

For criminal justice, I would recommend Sam Houston, because their CJ program is an excellent one.

I have taken a criminal justice and a criminology class. Both were because I dropped another class and I needed to pick up something else to remain full-time. They were/are good classes, but that was mostly because I had a really good instructor. I have some interest in that field but I haven't looked into it too much...mostly because I don't have enough interest in it that if I couldn't get exactly the job I wanted I wouldn't be satisfied. I don't know if it's the major or just coincidence, but all the people in the CJ classes I've taken have absolutely nothing in common with me. If you go for that major you might go sit in some classes to see what your classmates will be like.

I'm already settled on what I'm doing after high school. I'm going to Tarrant County College to get my basics out of the way. After that I'm leaning on transferring to University of Texas at Arlington. I'm not sure what I want to major in yet; but some subjects that sound interesting to me are political science and journalism. I might also consider a foreign language (Spanish).

I actually took introduction to criminal justice and criminal investigations in my senior year in high school and it was pretty good.

I love anatomy. I am going to school to be a histology technician to study tissues of the body. What I loved about anatomy was that I had an awesome professor, who taught anatomy at so many different levels, including an histology level, where we examined all of the tissues in the body organs, bones, and everything. I would study for hours, and even study extra just because I was so fascinated. When I would study an organ, i would imagine myself seeing how that organ works, and at the same time "feel" that body part working. I would imagine myself as a lung, feeling myself take in the air and the capillaries around me feeling the blood and visualizing the blood taking the oxygen to the lung, while taking the Carbon dioxide out. It is the same way that that Dr. house on that show House visualizes disease and how the body affects them. I do the exact same thing with diseases, as well. I still miss it to this day. Also, as much as I am not really into chemistry, but I had an awesome teacher who was a sweetheart and felt very close too. She really made it fun.
