Hello everyone;

I am Blake. Just another fellow member of the WrongPlanet forum website.
But the most exiting thing happened to me yesterday.

This may get long:
Please note I am 14.

So, I never see my Nan and Pop, but on Tuesday my family went down to say "hi" which we do like every 2 Christmases(Far to long), when going down there my pop was helping me build my model airplane and was asking how my life is and what I am doing with it at the moment. This is 2 days after getting there because my parents left after 1 day and I stayed for 2. I go on telling him how I like computer and and programming and he said that I've been liking that since 4 years ago or more. And seeing that I am getting better with programming and Nan and Pop really wanted me to get better at it. My pop went on the internet with me and found a university bachelor course for students studying at home. We looked around the website and as far as we were concerned there was no age requirement. So... Straight away with-out looking at prices or anything I saw he was putting my details in and it was more of just a letter of interest, there were no questions on age or any kind of education requirement; I went to bed that night thinking about it all night and that surprised me a lot was that they actually called me when I was back at home the next day.

*Ring*
Me: Yellow!
Lady: Hello, Is this Blake Reilly?
Me: Yes. That is me. (Immediately knew what it was for)
Lady: Okay, Hi Blake. I would just like to take a moment to ask you some questions.
Me: Okay.
Me: (Whispering with my hand on the phone) MUM! MUM!... MUM!! !
Mum: What?
Me: There is some lady on the phone.
Mum: Why?
Me: Uni study thing.
Mum: ???
Lady: Hello, Hello, Hello??
Me: Hello again.
Lady: Did I get you at a bad time I can call back.
Me: Yes (Fake laughing), You kinda did. (I was actually doing totally nothing at the time)
Lady: Okay, I am sorry... What time would you like me to call back.
Me: MUM!!
Mum: What? What do you want??
Me: Want time do I get them to call back?
Mum: ???
Mum: I don't know... 30 Minutes?
Me: Can you call back in 30 minutes?
Lady: Sure. Bye,
Me: Good Bye,
Lady: See you soon.
*End Call*

Me: If that was a machine I would of hung up ages ago...

So I was running all around my mum saying "What do I do?, What do I do?". My mum not even knowing anything about this or what it is was just... Fine.
She was saying bye to Nan and Pop when they dropped me off and she wasn't really caring.

Me: Mum, What do I do?
Mum: I don't know...
Me: You know I can't talk to people on a phone.
Mum: Yep (Took me a few minutes to figure out that it was sarcasm)
Me: Crazy monkeys eating fish fingers I can't.
Mum: I don't know how you come up with all those on the spot...
Mum: Yes you can, and you will.
Me: (Walking to me room) Pop... Pop... Pop... Pop... (Some random sound I was saying while walking away)

*Ring*
Me: Yellow!

*Hold Off*
Lady: We can put you in, But you will need your parents permission.
Lady: Would you like some time to talk to them.?
Me: Can you hold 1 minute?
Lady: Of course.
Me: Mum, Do you want to talk?
(Mum gave me a jester to give the phone)

Mum and the lady had started talking for only a minute or 2.
*End Call*

Me: So...
Mum: She is calling again to talk more about the payment details.
Me: Yay!

So, My mum said if I do start and finish it I will have my Bachelor of Technology Certificate when I am 17.

be careful....some of these online unis are big scams! Make sure it is nationally accredited and accredited locally(I'm not sure how exactly it works in Australia) and maybe find out if a certificate from this school in IT would be accepted by some companies that employ IT people.

You also should think about whether doing this might interfere with high school. If you want to go to uni a high school education with good grades might be more useful......and it would be hard to do both this and the IT diploma at once.
