I should find out how much next week. I'm going to use part of the refund for mainly paying off NY debt I was considering getting a laptop but IMO it'd be nice to be DEBT FREE! (Not paying X amount every month to something!! !) Laptop/game system etc. (Sure pills neccessities but I'm tired of paying out money EVERY MONTH to something!) I'm going to be doing a lot of that soon anyway because after the AA it's onward to Bachelor and student Loan debt (Aid I don't think pays ALL for college just part of it so for BA I'd need loans) :-) But to be OUT OF DEBT for once in my adult life would be nice! (Odd saying that considering I'm only 24 LOL!)

That's great  I don't know where you're getting aid from, but have you gone to vocational rehabilitation? They are paying for some of my tuition and other school expenses. They are not paying for much of mine because I'll be going to a private college (and it's tuition is higher), but often they will cover 100% tuition for state schools. I don't know which type of college you were looking to go to, though.

I was working with VR to try to find a job but since my priority has shifted to College I dropped them (they were unwilling to just switch it up sadly) BTW Aid as in Financial Aid/Pell Grant etc. stuff to help me pay to go back to College. :-)

Congrats, Zelda! What kind of school are you going to, and what are their financial aid policies like? Some schools have really generous financial aid and merit scholarships, and others are pretty stingy.

If you can afford it, you might want to get a cheap netbook for college. You'll definitely need a computer, and it can be annoying always having to go to the library or student center or whatever to work.
