I wrote a blog about Temple Grandin's book titled "Unwritten Rules of Social Relationships". It talked about the social rule "Fitting In" Is Often Tied to Looking and Sounding Like You "Fit In". Please check it out and tell me what you think!

In the wrongplanet.net discussion forum at the bottom of the forums list, there is a thread about how to get a moderator's attention if you need to.

That said, I don't think dissing Temple Grandin is going to get anyone banned.

This person has been posting this same exact comment on another thread about her. People will just tell them they are ignorant and shouldn't say things like that about people, regardless of whether or not they will be blocked from the website.

I love Temple Grandin. After I was diagnosed in 10th grade, a psychology teacher, who I knew as our marching band's drill tech, let me borrow his copy of "Thinking in Pictures" and "Animals in Translation" and they really helped me understand more about AS and prompted me to move forward in my dreams of becoming a writer. Is she perfect? Nope. But she's given me proof that Aspies can be successful and can be published, which is enough for me.

As for the OP, yes what Bethie said was simply her opinion. Frankly, I think she could have said it more tactfully but I guess she didn't want to bother with that. I don't even now if Bethie's a girl or not, I'm just going with it to make sure my sentences flowed better. Either way, it won't get her banned. Just ignore her. In fact, I already forgot what she said.
