looking for free children's books for my pupils/ UK

I am a teacher in 5th and 6th grade primary school (in Belgium, this means for 10/11 years old)
They are French speaking but I teach them in English (for them it is half their schedule)

Reading is a very important aspect of their learning, but there are hardly any second hand book shops with English
books here.

Is there anyone that doesn't need his/her English children's books anymore and would be willing to donate them for my
pupils?

I plan a trip to London next month and could come pick them up if it's not too far from London

Go to a charity shop like Oxfam and you'll be able to get a whole bunch of kids books really cheap. I don't think anyone's just gonna give them to you though.

I'll definitely go to oxfam when I go to England Asp-Z

and you would be surprised how much people do give away (I have had quite a lot in my life, and given away as well too, I hope that when one day you'll be older you'd be able to say the same thing )
