This is happy post, Aspies!

As you know if you see my posts around, I'm not the type to change who I am to make friends, but since starting sixth form I've become more accepted anyway.

People talk to me normally like they do with everyone else, I no longer feel left out, I feel like I'm a part of things to an extent.

In fact, I found out today that there's actually a girl in the year above me who's interested in me!

So yeah, if you're an Aspie who wants friends, there be hope ahead!

What do you mean by sixth form?

A sixth form is a type of college here. Our college, I think, is our equivalent to your high school (16+ education).

That's great :). I found college so much better than school- a lot more freedom and less people judging you. Hope you have a good time!

I can relate as well! I've found that my later years of high school (16 onwards) have been much easier. No bullying and generally quite respected (being willing to help people with work helps here, but I do that out of a mixture of altruism and the fact that it helps me learn.)

Generally, the more mature people are, the more accepting they are. My worse years for isolation were my youngest, as I get older, things only seem to get better, like the OP.
