And the problem is I have difficulty studying the manual. I have to have a license before January (that's when classes start) and I want to get this over with.

I'm not a teen, but I've never gotten real driver's ed classes in school. I have no learner's permit, so I have to do this quickly.

But the manual is a chore to slog through. I mostly remember stuff if I've done it or if I've seen it visually, and this is hard to motivate myself to even pick it up.

Any advice? :(

Try taking a look here:

http://www.dmv-test.com/pennsylvania-practice-test.php

Most of the tests I have ever taken have had pictures of signs to be identified by type, then mostly questions related to traffic flow and safe driving along with questions about obtaining and retaining a license to drive.

If I remember right, the tests are fairly easy to pass. You probably already know enough. I would just take the test, and IF you fail, then figure out how to learn more of what you need to know.

When I first read the title, I thought this was a social justice issue in that a class was requiring you to have a license and they really shouldn't do this. But, now it sounds like you need the license in order to drive to classes (and good luck with your upcoming classes :D )

Okay, as far as the actual driving, 'drive the car ahead of you,' I have found that as helpful as anything as far as seeing down the road. That combined with staying reasonably aware if someone is pulling up into my blindspot and reasonable trying to stay out of other drivers' blindspots (none of this is 100%)
