Having a hard time setting my aviation interest aside!! !! !
I don't really wanna be an arse for this AS fixture talk, but it's really getting up my nerves! Especially about my aviation fixture & college life.
-I have a lot of homework, and tend to veer off-focus very very often( mostly related to web-design & animation)
-I mess things up in the household chores when thoughts about flight invade my mind
-Whenever I hear a helicopter, I instantly look upwards to see what model it is
-I try to think of ways to sneak out of the house to go the airport for plane-spotting, but I loose my confidence and end up not going ( possibly because of the tight security these days are making me nervous! )
-etc..
I like what I'm studying, Media arts. But ever since I saw how low I would be paid when I get my job after graduating, as a designer( then promoted to art director when I'm good enough), I lost a lot of my fire to move on. I mean, I love graphic design and web design, but I do want cash to be able to fly like a bird too!
I can kinda relate. I was in Air Force Junior ROTC last year, and I had a strong interest in aviation history for months.
Right now my distraction would be cars. I do a lot of the same things you do. When I see a vintage car roling down the steet, I try to name and classify it and remember who made it, who founded its company, and what year it was made. I have snuck out to car shows before and once spent an entire day at one. I build models of cars and I'm even making my webpage for my Web Design class about cars. It's ironic I don't have my permit yet.
