I got accepted to UTEP

Earlier today, I received a letter of acceptance from the University of Texas at El Paso. This is the third university I was accepted to (University of Hawaii at Manoa, and Sam Houston State University were the other two).

I am still waiting to hear from the University of Houston, UT San Antonio, Boise State University (in Idaho), and I am going to apply to the University of Nevada at Reno.

What do you will study ?

I will be studying geology.

Congratulations! What do you plan on doing as a career?

I plan to be a geologist (after getting my Bachelor's degree, I plan to get at least a master's degree).

My alternative major is civil engineering, which ties in to my current job

As you probably know, UTEP has a great Geology Department. I studied geology there, but wound up switching to Mass Com. I still live in El Paso. Congratulations and best wishes for a good choice!
