Alternate post-secondary options?

So today I was talking to my mum about how I don't like my current program and she was like "well, what other options to you have?"

I told her I could do more hands-on stuff and she said she doesn't think that I'm any better at doing hands-on stuff as opposed to the in-class lecture learning. She also said that many hands-on stuff requires lecture classes anyway?

So does anyone have any other ideas about what I could do as a career? I don't mind lecture classes BTW as long as its not too "packed" with information. If I tell my mum that, she would respond with "all lecture classes are like that, just suck it up and enjoy it" and so I don't know what I should do right now.

My mom thinks a lot of things about me that aren't true, and I always prove her wrong.

Don't listen to her. You're an adult. Make decisions for yourself. Ask yourself what you are capable of. You know yourself better than your mom does. Anyway, parents can sometimes have a hard time seeing how their child has grown. I know my mom is that way, and I know of other parents that are that way as well.
