So it seems a good number of diagnosed people on the spectrum end up in special ed. It also seems a lot of us also have seperate learning disabilities as well as being gifted in other areas. Im kinda confused do kids get placed in special ed classes cause their autistic or does there have to be other learning problems as well. I know for me, I wasnt diagnosed till later and I was never placed in special ed and I was completely fine in all mainstreamed classes. And theres the IEP thing...what is that?
