I fully expect to partake in Rodney Dangerfield-like shenanigans.

My friends and family have been encouraging me to return to school on a new path. They see something in me that I haven't considered to be a big deal, but they think it can define my future in a career. And I don't hate the idea.

I should add that I can navigate a college environment. I can do the gen eds, even the really dumb ones, and I can focus to study. I have trouble with "group projects" where my grade is dependent on other people (and it's because of that reason) but other than group projects, I enjoy the classroom experience. I get more from a campus course than I do an online course, too.

This involves a four-year and a graduate degree, plus interning. Some of my AS will be transferable but there's still a lot left to do. I'm not too concerned with the money or the student loan debt. I'm more concerned with the time. I'm turning 34 this year. I'll likely be 40 before I sort myself out. On the other hand, I'm going to turn 40 no matter what I do, so would I rather be somewhere when I'm 40 or still be where I am?

What do you think?

I will be 40 in a few months and am finally going back to school to do something that I'm really interested in. I'd say if school is a way to feed your mind at any age, why not go for it?!

Good luck-- to both of us! :D
