Well I am about to graduate from high school and I honestly don't know how to feel about it. Anyone else feel this way.

I think many people see it as a mix of good and bad. Whether you liked high school and are excited about the future or not, it's still a big change. Along with the excitement and feeling of achievement from graduating, there will probably be a feeling of loss of routine along with some stress about what is to come. I think this mixed feeling is felt by both NT's and Aspies because growing up and moving on is a big change in anyone's life. Try to focus on the good parts of it if you can.

I graduated from high school last year. Around this time last year, I was very eager to graduate. I was ready to get the hell out of that place. I wasn't looking forward to graduation, though, because I knew it would be a very nerve-racking experience.

As excited as I was to graduate, it wasn't until the actual ceremony when I thought, "Wow. This is really happening." It was very surreal at the time. During my entire senior year of high school, it never really phased me that I was in my last year of high school. It all just felt natural to me.

You should be delighted, school sucks. College is much better.

I am about to graduate in a month and I feel good and bad about it.
I am happy to get out of the high school scene because it sucks and to move out into a different state away from my family.
I am sad to leave some of my favorite teachers behind and to grow up.

(Luckily, I have a marathon to run 3 weeks afterwards, so I won't be thinking it too much afterwards)

I'm terrified, myself. My graduation is in a week, but my classes are done now. I'm alternating between bouts of paranoia, nausea, and just plain ol' stress. I don't know why, and I'm not even sure there's a reason.

Anyone have any advice? I'd ask my mom, she's pretty good with this stuff, but she and everyone else are acting like this is the most awesome thing ever, and I kind of don't want to act weird (again) when Mom's so convinced that the major social snags are over for me.

And how did your graduation go, chrissyrun? You happier now? *hugs* I hope so. :)
