Hard time concentrating at times

most of the time I can read something with no difficulty, and I love skimming. but periodically, (almost every day) I cannot concentrate. Its very hard for me to read a paragraph because the words look like a block in my head. this usually happens at school when I have to read something. so I typically just don't do it, or allow my teammate to do it, and i either get a 0, etc. and Spanish was the worst, I kept forgetting the meaning of words, etc.

what can I do about this? because I am going into college soon and I don't want to fail...

Try reading at a slower pace and focus on a phrase at a time.
