I don't know how to work with my new math teacher. She's a nice, old lady so I feel bad about saying this but she can be pretty difficult. One day class started ten minutes early without warning. When I tried to get her to sign a form for my freshman seminar class and this came up, I told her that I was a kinesthetic learner. She thought that was a disability and went to a counselor for about ten minutes with me before she signed my form (I actually thought that was kind of funny  ). She recently sent an email about two assignments saying where we should start them. She said that we should start the first assignment on #9, which makes sense. She said that we should start the second assignment on #19 and that wasn't part of the original assignment. I've only been in her class for five days and I don't know what to do if things like that keep happening.

Going on what minervx said, try to find a tutor who has had the same prof before and who knows her "style" of teaching.

Didn't the prof give out a syllabus? A paper with the assignments for each week on it? If she didn't, maybe you can ask her for one so that their won't be anymore unexpected surprises?
