1. Before taking any college courses you first need to figure out what you really want to do with your life.
2. Have you looked into the vocational colleges? They can be cheaper, and they may have course offerings that are of more interest to you. Many of the careers they prepare people for involve doing work with your hands.
3. Have you considered self employment? There are many things you could do on your own, including some at your own rate, as long as you don't over book your schedule. Here are some ideas, but there are many others besides the ones listed below.
- Gardening and/or yard work.
- Handyman.
- Errand service.
- House cleaning.
- House/pet sitting.
- Turn a hobby into a money making opportunity.
- Cooking/catering service.
- Typing service.
- Computer maintenance/repair/refurb/building.
- Appliance repair.
- Various types of writing careers.
Use your imagination, and your interests.
