Hello all

I was just wondering if there are others out there whom are attending university (or 'college' to those from North America). I was told that Aspergers tends to be more prevalent in those who excel academically and I an interested in seeing if this translates to a bachelors degree.

Until now it has translated into a masters. I am now pursuing a industrial Ph.D (just started at an advanced age)

Could you define an Industrial PhD for me? I am not familiar with it.

Sure

I am not sure the concept is widespread outside scandinavia?
I guess you are familiar with the ordinary Ph.D. An industrial Ph.D (in Denmark, that is) is partly financed by the government as a grant and partly financed by the industry. First it is nessesary to find a company that is interested in some sort of scientific project (often the medicinal industry or like), then it is nessesary to find a university that will host the Ph.D project. Then there is an annual or biannual application round for the government grant. Only projects deemed to be of interest for the industry and/or country will get a grant.

I was lucky to be in the right spot at the right time (no such thing as pure luck, though. Prepare to be the right place on the right time - carpe diem)

Here is the danish webpage.

I just started community college last Autumn and just finished the Spring semester my lowest grade was a B I'm not sure of the grading methods outside the United States. It took me two years to fight for Financial Aid after losing it because of a mental breakdown in 2008 I have a 15 year plan on taking my schooling all the way to a PhD in Architectural History. I am hoping that after leaving community college I can find an accelerated Ba to Ma degree so I can start my PhD before 40th birthday. After my breakdown in 2008 many of my grades dropped drastically and my GPA fell very low thankfully because of my high marks this year I have brought it back up to a 3.2 GPA, but I am hoping to raise my GPA as high as possible. My eventual goal is to work in a museum than to retire teaching Architectural history, my other main goal is once I receive my education to get a job outside the United States and than apply for citizenship in Canada or any other western nation the sooner I can leave the United States the better.
