I'm in high school and the reason why I want to be homeschooled is that 1) There are lots of people and sometimes I feel nervous talking to them and 2) There are some teachers that I really hate. The only problem is that my mum works at a school and my dad works as well. :( Do you have any suggestions for anything above that will make me like school again?

Just think what benefits homeschooling would do, just about none.

It will just isolate you more, and then BANG, you have to enter the real world again. I had that option when my AS was REALLY bad when I was 14, and turned it down. Everyone has teachers they hate, it's just part of life. I think you should stick at regular schoool :)

I was home educated since I was 10. I'm 18 and things are working out well. Of course, a tolerant local community helps, and I have my daily struggles but things improve all the time.

If school's doing you serious damage, get out.

You feel nervous talking to them? Hmm, is this because you go to them or do they come to you? If they come to you, you can tell them politely that you don't want to be talked to, and would prefer to be left in the abscense of company (that's a good one!). If you go to them, then I suggest going to the Friendship and Social Interaction Forums and pick up a few skill there.

I hope all goes well with you, whichever path you do choose to take.

"Socializing" with the others at school just made my problems a lot worse. Most of them don't act that way in the real world.

I do my schoolwork on my comp just so i don't have to deal with jocks and preps.

Which would you prefer? Deal with jocks and preps or windows XtremePoop.
