I am feeling pretty sh***y today. I have been taking on-line courses, as well as with my roommate. I know I mentioned it before, but I have been doing a great deal of her course work and this week I slipped. There was an assignment I could not help her do but I told her the wrong due date. I thought it was due tomorrow but it was due friday and now she is gonna get docked points for a late submission.

I think she is pretty pissed at me because she plugged her ears with her head phones and has not talked to me since.

I feel so damn bad. I should have been more on top of the dates because I knew she was depending on that information. Its not like she is going to fail the class, at worst she is going to get a b. but I am better than this when it comes to school work (it is very linear) and since I am on break myself, and only keeping track of her work, I do not feel I should have slipped.

I agreed to help with her homework and I let her down by conveying wrong information.

><

It has really thrown off my day.

It is not appropriate for you to do your roommate's homework, nor is it fair to the other students who put in their own time to do their own homework. If I were you, I would refrain from doing other's homework for them. Your roommate, on the other hand, has to learn that she alone is responsible for turning in her course work by the proper due date.

I talked to her. I told her that I do not mind helping her, that is what friends are for, but that I cannot just do her work not anymore. It is too stressful on me AND her, because she is not in control of her own work grades etc. She took it better than I expected.

^this^

On top of all this, if the prof were to ever find out you were doing homework for her, they would punish you and her equally for it. Helping is one thing, that's fine, but never do homework for a classmate

I think I am just a bit too eager to please and make people happy. This has always been a big problem for me and well I do not really want people to keep taking advantage of me.
