Yesterday, after school, I approached my P.E teacher and asked him to explain the rules of EUROPEAN football but apparently, because I'm a boy, I should already know this and he shouldn't have to waste his time explaining things things that I should already know.
So, today, the incessant criticism and patronization continued. One thing that really irritated me was that when someone criticized the referee, he said "You cannot criticize the referee. Everybody makes mistakes, but as long as they try their best, you should never criticize them. It's called human respect."
Well then, it seems that for individuals on the spectrum, this "human respect" doesn't apply. He told me that I wasn't trying hard enough and that I wasn't showing the appropriate ammount of enthusiasm for his subject. As I've already stated, I always try my best in P.E but people constantly criticize me. I enjoy some aspects of P.E such as swimming, muscular endurance and fitness but I HATE competitive sports so much.
