I just barely finished a semester of college, and to say the least, it was a disaster. I wasn't able to get in the habit of keeping a planner or checking the syllabus, and I spend way too much time on the internet. I know that my habits are going to get me nowhere in life, but I want to know how to gain self control while living away from my parents.

Find some kind of motive. Whether it be an intrinsic or extrinsic motivation, it may help.

It's difficult to help you because your post sounds like vague BS.

Tell us about your worst actual experience; what were you supposed to do, what did you actually do, why did you do it, how can you do better next time?

disable internet while you do work? I need more details to be more helpful. Are you getting enough sleep?
