Today I learned that retirement income does not qualify as employment income, while this seems obvious to me now I wish I had known this earlier in the year, you know instead of two weeks before the end of the you when its too late. So because I chose to be a full time student and use my veterans benefits and federal student aid to go to school (45 credit hours over the past 16 months) I do not qualify for child tax credit or earned income credit, surprise!
