I have heard that for the GRE, you need to furnish evidence that accommodations have been in place (and when they have been used). I am a bit worried because I have only requested accommodations for about a fifth of my classes. Most of my accommodations are test-based, and during the beginning portion of my college career, I seldom needed accommodations because I didn't have many exams. At my college, a lot of the general education classes have a final project in lieu of an exam, so there was no need to ask for double time on tests. Even now I seldom request accommodations because one of my majors is in the humanities, and I have found that most humanities professors prefer to assign final essays rather than exams. I am a bit worried I may be denied accommodations due to infrequent use. I could start asking for accommodations in all of my classes (it's still the beginning of the semester for me), but most of my non-exam accommodations aren't necessary to articulate. For instance, I receive priority seating, but I seldom have had to explicitly request this accommodation because I get to classes early. I am also allowed to type up my notes, but most professors allow laptops anyway, so there is no need for me to ask. Has anyone not been able to receive GRE accommodations because they used accommodations too infrequently during their college career? Would it look suspicious if I were to suddenly start requesting them now?
